Meeting with Mikhail Kasyanov, former Prime Minister of Russia

In Strasbourg, I met with Mikhail Kasyanov, former Prime Minister of Russia (2000–2004) and one of the most vocal critics of President Vladimir Putin's regime. Today, his liberal and pro-European party, PARNAS, has been dissolved, and he is living in exile. My discussion with Mikhail Kasyanov reinforced my conviction that solidarity with anti-war and pro-democracy forces is, above all, a historical and human duty.
