High-Level Roundtable on European Competitiveness and the Management Quality impact | European Parliament, 1 July
Delivering on the Competitiveness Agenda -> Expert discussion on management excellence in Europe -> It has been two years since the Draghi report provided a realistic assessment of the major competitiveness gap between the EU and other global players, as well as the multi-vector transformation Europe must undergo to remain relevant and competitive in the coming years and decades. However, a crucial factor has remained underexplored: implementing these ambitious changes is impossible without high-quality management. To close the competitiveness gap identified in the Draghi report, Europe needs to strengthen its managerial capacities. This imperative is equally relevant across all domains, in both the public and private sectors.

The Day of the Moldovan Miracle, September 28, 2025

Renew Europe conference: The Black Sea Strategic Approach
I was honoured to organise a conference in Brussels on "The Black Sea Strategic Approach" together with my fellow MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk and hosted by the Permanent Representation of Romania to the EU. The Black Sea region is facing major challenges. Russia's war in Ukraine is a threat to everyone and has revealed vulnerabilities in Europe's security. Because of this, the Black Sea is extremely important for Europe's safety and its economy. The EU has a new plan for the region. We want to turn this plan into concrete results that help people. We discussed how to prevent future attacks, through projects like a new Maritime Security Hub, and by fighting other kinds of threats, such as disinformation, as well as discussing connectivity in the region.

Timișoara Hosts the First Edition of the Cities Summit, Dedicated to European Union Enlargement

The future of the Republic of Moldova is in Europe
Today I had a meeting with Maia Sandu, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Valérie Hayer, the President of the Renew Europe group, and my colleagues from the Romanian delegation, Vlad Voiculescu and Eugen Tomac. We continue to firmly support the European path of Moldova. However, in the parliamentary elections on September 28, the future of democracy and freedom for Moldovan citizens depends on everyone's involvement. "The peace of Moldova is also the peace of Europe," emphasized President Maia Sandu in her speech at the European Parliament.

Europe stands with Romania in difficult times
I voted in the European Parliament in favour of a vital financial support package for our country. Through the mobilisation of the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF), more than €14.3 million (€14,339,675, to be precise) will be allocated to Romania.

Major Victory in the European Parliament for Air Passengers
After years of negotiations, the European Parliament has adopted a regulation that puts an end to many of the abusive practices and hidden fees imposed by numerous airlines. We succeeded in safeguarding passenger compensation and introducing common-sense rules.
