Meeting with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu

While at the European Parliament for the ceremony where she was awarded the European Order of Merit, I was delighted to meet again with President Maia Sandu, alongside Valérie Hayer, President of the Renew Europe Group, and my fellow Members of the European Parliament Vlad Voiculescu and Eugen Tomac. In an increasingly complex regional context, opening the negotiation chapters grouped by clusters for the accession of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine has become more important than ever, especially given the window of opportunity in the months ahead.
